#1 on the to do list.

i have a list of things i want to get done while i am home with the new baby and the little lady. i am trying to keep the list very short { very, very short }, but number one on my list is getting our garage to look like this as you enter the house. our garage kind of haunts me. it's dirty, unorganized, cluttered and messy. words that i don't like to use in my vocabulary.

a girl can dream. now where to find everything? i will keep you updated when i spot something... at a good price, of course.

have a seat.

i am on the hunt for a new office chair. currently i sit in this one... not so comfortable.

one i am considering on overstock.

this one is from west elm.

and this one is from cb2.

but, i did find this beauty { with some recovering } on craigslist that i can't get off my mind. *this one fell through*

decisions. decisions. what do you think?

cupcake set up.

in late august i am helping host a baby shower for a dear friend. we have decided to create a cupcake decorating table. so, guests can grab a plain cupcake and add whatever they would like to the top. maybe a raspberry or two, chocolate chips or even some sprinkles. right now, i am gathering inspiration for what the table could look like.

i like the overall simplicity of these tables. not too fussy, just right.

a new lesson.

my grandma taught me a long time ago to crochet, but i didn't keep it up and sadly she has passed away and my skills have faded. so, i have decided to reteach myself to crochet.

i bought a book, checked out some books { this one and this one } and have been watching youtube videos, like this one.

i would love to make gifts for friends and family when i get really good. okay, i must practice.

{ both photos from the super talented laura normandin. check out here lovely blog wren handmade. }

hold on tight.

are these clutches not the cutest?!

i might have to try making one for the little lady. i think she would like a dolphin or a ladybug. and she would look pretty cute toting it around.

a few things.

i am so happy because i took the plunge and bought one of these bad boys. i am in love.

i recently have entered the world of apps, and let me just say how incredible they are. here are my favorites so far { all free. i have yet to pay for an app. }...

craigsPro - easy to see photo previews and postings.

FunOnTheGo - find local family happenings near you.

Simplenote - make all the lists you want. you know i like lists.

Scribble Lite - the little lady is obsessed. we draw on this all the time together.

Whirly Word - just a fun little word game to work out my brain a bit.

on my list to possibly purchase...

scrabble - it's $10, but i am pretty sure i would get my money's worth.

and a meal planner/grocery list of some sort, maybe this one, MealBoard - meal planner and grocery list included.

a budget app of some sorts, as well.

any suggestions out there on more apps i should be looking into?

hip hip hooray.

she can do no wrong... suann song of simplesong has just launched hip hip hooray blog. a blog 'cataloging all things kid's parties from invitations to decor and all the details in between.

love the cute design.

so far, so good. can't wait for more.

look, but don't touch.

lately, i have been loving anything that is an antique or vintage piece for the home. i am constantly on etsy perusing all the amazing shops with great things to drool over. i look, but don't touch.

here are a few of my favorite shops and the items i am loving currently.

i am a sucker for anything lucite, including this super cool lucite box from high street market.

ethanollie is always filled with the neatest and most unique pieces, like this gothic shelf i have had sitting in my cart forever now. i think it would look pretty cute in the new baby's room.

and last, but not least, old crow farm is filled with tons of fun things. another wall hanging i am digging is this wire note board.

i hope you find some treasures of your own and let me know if you have any shops i need to check out.

laser cutting.

i recently spotted this nice mid century modern tablescape on elizabeth anne designs.

but, what really caught my eye were those super cool laser cut monogrammed butterflies. i did a little digging and found the site luxecuts.

i am thinking about ordering a few sets of these with just the letter H to hang on the christmas tree. got to think this one through.
